Spicy Mashed Potato/Aloo Chokha/Aloo Bharta

Hi Friends,
Today I am sharing Spicy mashed potato which is easy to make and incredibly delicious.
Mashed Potato
Mashed Potato

.
Preparation time – 20 mins.  Serve – 2
Ingredients – 
1.Potato       –  2(Peeled and cut into 11/2 inch long and 1 inch thick pieces).
2.Butter       – 2 tabspoon.
3.Onion       – 1(Finely chopped).
4.Ginger paste- 1/2 tspoon.
5.Garlic paste – 1/2 tspoon.
6.Green chilli  – 2 chopped.
7.Pepper pwd – 1/2 tspoon.
8.Sugar         – 1/4 tspoon.
9.Lime juice  – 1 tspoon.
10.Salt to taste.
Method –
1.Boil potato pieces in a pan or pressure cooker.
.2.Drain the water and place potato pieces in a bowl.Break up the potato pieces with fork.
3Beat the potato pieces until smooth(Use potato masher/blender or electric mixer )
4.Heat butter in pan.Add onion and saute until light brown.Add ginger-garlic paste, sugar,salt and saute for 5 mins.(Add little water if needed)
5.Reduce the flame,add mashed potato,green chilli and mix well. Cook for about 5 mins.
6.Remove the pan from heat,add pepper pwd and lemon juice.Mix well and cover for 5 mins.
This tasty dish goes well with rice, chapatis,parathas.This can be served as a starter or as side dish
with toasted breads.
