Today I am sharing with you a quick and easy to make side dish recipe made with flat beans/sim. It is a simple side dish but very tasty to eat. You can take it as a side dish with rice/roti or paratha.
Cooking time -20 minutes. Serve – 4
Ingredients –
1.Flat beans – 300 grams.
2.Potato – 200 grams.
3.Dry red chilly – 2
4.Kalojeera/Nigella seeds—1/2 tsp.
5.Garlic cloves – 4.(chopped)
6.Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp.
7.Slit green chilly – 2.
8.Salt to taste.
9.Sugar – 1/4 tsp.
10.Oil -3 to 4 tbsp.
Instructions.
Cut the flat beans into strips, wash and keep aside. Also cut the potatoes into strips, wash and keep aside. Heat oil in a frying pan,add dry red chilly and fry until brown, Add kalojeera, fry for 30 seconds. Reduce the heat, add chopped garlic, fry for 1 minute. Add the potato, salt, turmeric powder and fry for 2 minutes. Add the flat beans,sugar,slit green chilly. Mix well. Cover the pan and cook on slow heat for 7 to 8 minutes(stir in between). The dish is ready. Remove pan from the heat,give few minutes standing time.
