Today I am sharing with you a beautiful dish of egg —-Egg 65 recipe. It is a budget friendly snacks recipe, you can prepare the dish any time at your home. You can serve it as a teatime snacks or as a starter.
Cooking time – 30 minutes Serve – 4
Ingredients –
1.Boiled egg – 4(cut into 4 to 6 pieces)
2.Onion – 1
3.Ginger – 1 inch
4.Garlic cloves – 4
5.Red chilly powder – 1/2 tsp.
6.Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp.
7.Egg (beaten) – 1
8.Salt to taste.
9.Cornflour – 2 tbsp.
10.Plain flour(maida) – 2 tbsp.
11.Oil (white) —–for deep frying.
Instructions-
Grind onion,ginger and garlic into a smooth paste. To this add chilly,turmeric,salt,flour,cornflour and beaten egg. Mix them very well.Now add the egg pieces and coat the egg with the batter. Heat oil in a frying pan. Group the egg pieces into 4 batches. Fry each batch until golden brown in color. Take out them from the oil, keep aside.
Now make a sauce. Ingredients for the sauce———
1.White oil – 2 tbsp.
2.Cumin seeds – 1 tsp.
3.Onion (chopped) – 1 (it is optional)
4.Grated ginger – 1 tsp.
5.Chopped garlic – 1 tsp.
6.Curry leaves – 4 tsp.
7.Salt to taste.
8.Sugar – 1/4 tsp.
9.Green chilly -4/5(chopped)
10.Kashmiri red chilly powder – 1 tbsp.
11Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp.
Instructions –
Heat oil, add cumin seeds. When the cumin looks brown, add onion,ginger,garlic,curry leaves and sugar. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Dissolve Kashmiri chilly powder in 1/2 cup of water and add to the pan.Mix and stir for 1 minute. Add the fried egg,green chilly,pepper powder. Stir gently and coat the egg pieces with the sauce.Remove pan from the heat, cover and give 10 minutes standing time.
