Today,I am posting a delicious Chicken dish——Dhonepata Chicken recipe. It is one of the best recipe of Chicken—-very quick and easy to prepare.You can take it as a side dish with Rice/roti/paratha or as a snacks/starter.
Cooking time – 40 minutes.

Ingredients
- Chicken(curry cut) – 1 k.g
- Onion – 200 grams.
- Garlic cloves – 8/10
- Ginger – 1/2 inch.
- Chilly powder – 1/2 tsp.
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp.
- Cumin powder – 1/4 tsp.
- Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp.
- Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp.
- White oil -50 grams.
- Ghee – 1 tsp.
- Chopped coriander leaves – 1 cup.
- Lemon juice – 4 tbsp.
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Marinate the Chicken with lemon juice,garam masala powder and 1 tbsp.of salt. Cover and keep aside.Grind coriander leaves with 1/2 cup of water. Cover and set aside. By adding 1/2 cup of water grind ginger, garlic and all the masala powders(chilly,cumin,coriander,turmeric) into a smooth paste. Keep the masala mix aside.
Heat oil , once it is hot,reduce the heat. Add the chopped onion, fry till light brown. Add the masala mix, saute for 5 to 7 minutes. Add the chicken, mix well.Cover the pan, cook for 7 to 8 minutes on slow heat(stir in between).Add 3 to 4 cups of warm water, little salt.Cover and cook until the Chicken is tender. Add the coriander leaves paste, mix well. Cover the pan and cook for few minutes/or until the gravy is thickened.
Remove pan from the heat, mix ghee. Cover the pan and give 10 minutes standing time.
Delicious Dhonepata Chicken is ready, serve hot.
