My today’s recipe is chocolate kaju katli – a famous Indian sweet with a little twist.It is made with cashew nuts and grated chocolate. It is very tasty easy to make.
Cooking time – 30 minutes. Serve – 4
Ingredients –
1.Cashew nuts – 1 cup.
2.Corn flour – 1 tbsp.
3.Sugar – 1/2 cup.
4.Water – 1/4 cup.
5.Grated chocolate – 1 cup.
6.Ghee for greasing.
Method –
1.Grind the cashew nuts into a fine powder.
2. In a bowl mix cashew powder and corn flour, keep aside.
3.In a non-stick frying pan take sugar and water. On medium heat boil till a single thread consistency is obtained. Reduce heat, add cashew-corn flour mix and keep stirring. On low flame stirring till it reaches a soft dough consistency.
3.Transfer the dough to a flat dish, start kneading and make a smooth dough.(sprinkle milk if needed)
4.keep the dough on greased tray and using a greased rolling pin roll out the dough into a thin layer (rectangular shape).
5.Spread the grated chocolate evenly over the dough.(grate chocolate using a grater)
6.Roll the dough slowly into a log.
7.With a sharp knife slice it cleanly into 1/4 inch thickness.
Chocolate kaju katli is ready to serve.Shift them in a plate and serve as a dessert.
