My today’s recipe is Shrimp Kofta Curry. It’s a rich party recipe.
Preparation Time -1 hour. Serving - 4
Ingredients –
For Kofta –
1. Shrimp (unshelled) – 500gms.
2. Ginger paste – 1/2 teaspoon.
3. Garlic paste – 1/2 teaspoon.
4. Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon.
5. Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon.
6. Garam masala – 1 teaspoon (powder)
7. Boiled potato – 1(mashed)
(small)
8. Bread crumbs – 2 tabspoon.
9. Egg – 1
10. Coriander leaves – 1 tabspoon (chopped)
And salt to taste
For gravy –
1. Onion – 1 (chopped)
2. Ginger paste -1/2 teaspoon.
3. Garlic paste – 1/2 teaspoon.
4. Tomato – 1(chopped)
5. Red Chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon.
6. Cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon.
7. Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon.
8. Garam masala – 1 teaspoon (powder)
9. Sugar – 1/2 teaspoon.
10. Cream – 2 tabspoon.
11.Oil for deep frying and salt to taste.
Method –
1. Wash the Shrimps,and mince in a grinder.
2. Add all the ingredients of the Koftas with shrimps and make round balls.Keep in a dish.
3. Fry Shrimp-balls until golden brown (on medium heat)
4. Take out the fried balls and keep in a dish.
5. Clean the fry pan and add 2 tabspoon of oil.
6. On medium heat fry onion till light brown,add all ingredients of gravy with 1/2 cup of water and saute for 7 to 10 mins.
7. Add 1 cup of water and bring it to boil.
8. After boiling for 6 mins, add Kofta balls and cook for another 3 mins.
9. Remove pan from heat,add garam masala powder and cover the pan with lid for 5 mins.
At serving time add cream on top of the Shrimp Kofta Curry.
